New Engineering Job Search Website for Dorset



Market Town has launched a website aimed at linking all the engineering companies in Dorset to any person looking for employment in the sector.

Companies can enter any details regarding job opportunities through their own unique control panel which will automatically update the web site and post the vacancy into the public domain.

Job applicants can enter their CV on line and this information will automatically match to job availability both now and in the future.  If there is a match then a text message and an email will be sent to both parties to speed up the search process thus getting everyone connected.

The site is designed to ease the recruitment process across Dorset and is already proving to be very successful, with employers and candidates already being connected.

Website of the Year commendation!



Weston-Super-Mare’s town council has been commended for their Market Town website thanks to its ease of navigation, depth of information and friendly, encouraging approach.

The Local Council Review and Co-operative Bank Communication Awards were held in conjunction with the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) Annual Awards and Exhibition that was held in Eastbourne on 24 September last year.

Website entries were marked out of 100 points, with points awarded for community involvement, navigation, design, content, core information including council contact details, list of meetings, previous minutes, news stories, list of members and finally the fun factor – that certain something to keep readers interested and amused!

Leisure and Community Projects Officer, at Weston-Super-Mare town council, Marina Dunstone says: ‘Market town has done a brilliant job, the website’s great and very easy to navigate. I will be entering the website into the awards again in June and hopefully we’ll win this year!’
